German Nanny is up and running!

I've started this blog as a way to keep in contact with my family and friends in the States during my time abroad.

Tomorrow, I graduate from Murray State University. It's amazing -- MSU has been my life and my home for the past four years, and I have thoroughly immersed in classes, theatre shows, dance shows, meetings, parties, what have you. But today, I took my last final, said good-bye to the people in the office I've worked in daily for the past three years, and packed up and left the dorm for the last time. Tomorrow morning, I'll don my cap and gown and parade around the auditorium with -- who knows? -- a few hundred of my closest friends and gain a diploma.

And then the next two months will be spent cramming German vocabulary, packing, unpacking, and repacking my life in to one or two suitcases, and saying good-bye to friends and family. My trip to Germany doesn't seem remotely real yet, and I get the feeling it won't be until I step on the plane on July 24th that I realize, "Oh My Lord, this is happening."

Stay tuned for more adventures, I'll be sure to keep you updated...

Bis spaeter! (Until later...)
